Toraya

Toraya, one of Japan's oldest pastry shops, opened its Paris boutique in 1980 with the aim of promoting the wagashi tradition in France. Their boutique-teahouse offers a wide selection of traditional Japanese pastries in harmony with the seasons, and cakes specially created for Toraya Paris. Through the ivory color of the plaster and the light tone of the wood, the interior design highlights the artisanal technique. The tables, called "YOKAN TABLE", are made of French oak painted the same color as the red azuki and coated with a resin reminiscent of the natural shine of agar-agar.
